As Seen on YT
I like these sponges, and they really do match what I have seen on the nail art channels (Holo Taco, SimplyNailogical, etc). You do need to press the sponge to a paper towel after applying polish, or it will be too much at once. You can mess up a gradient or get smears instead of nice results. It is absorbent, but takes some time with the polish (which is thick), so you need to be careful how much polish you put on. Thin coats are important, and you'll lose less polish that way. I found that this has helped me with these sponges , and I need to keep this in mind when using them, or else I won't get the results I want, and it will be my own fault. The sponges do their job, so I need to let them for the best results.B05/06/2022BeonkiaUnited States
Way too dense
I had to get these sponges because no retail stores in my town sells them anymore. Way way too dense! I swear Cristine used a different brand of sponge in her gradient video. I used to be awesome at doing gradients but I can’t even get the color to go onto the nail! I’ve tried everything. I tried cutting the sponge first (nearly impossible because they split the scissor blades) and I tried dampening the sponge to make it soft. The polish will not transfer onto my nail and any that does manage to transfer, comes back up with a second dab.05/09/2022

So far I've really loved everything Holo Taco, but these sponges are not good. Like a few other reviews have stated, they're just too dense. I've tried a few times and cut off the end of the sponges also. No matter how little polish I brush on, it just sits on top and makes and smooshy mess or picks up the base coat when I attempt to lightly dab dab dab. Was excited to try these but I guess I'll be using the cheap drugstore ones from now on .05/05/2022

Not the best Sponges.
I got these with hopes to love 'em. I'm not a fan of these and I LOVE EVERYTHING HOLO TACO! The colors wouldn't absorb - the sponge was way to dense. I even followed simplys tip and cut off a layer BOY WAS THAT HARD since the sponge was so hard! I really wanted to love these but will not be using them for nail art hopefully I can find another purpose for them :(03/20/2022
