Too firm for effective gradients

Disclaimer: I have loved every product I’ve received from Holo Taco so far, though unfortunately this set of sponges has missed the mark. I was so excited to try these, after the set I had from elsewhere was coming off in bits on my nail when finishing gradients. Though in the end, these seem to be far too dense, absorbing the color inside it’s firm blocky ways - and the sponge itself acting almost like a buoy, bouncing off my nails when I dab dab dab, instead of comfortably forming to my finger. Regardless of how many times I tried to re-up my polish, I was met with the same results and eventually returned to using my off brand sponges that have a bit more give, and overall more stable coverage with less polish use.

Did not work for me

Unfortunatly these did not work for me. I tried a gradient with them and somehow the polish just stayed on the sponge. Or if something transferred to the nail, the next dab just picked it right up again. Since I did not do a gradient in a very long time, I thought I must be doing something wrong and tried again and again. After going back to my super cheap sponges that I have since years, it worked again. So, it does not seem to be user error. I assume, as others have said in their reviews as well, that the sponge is too firm

Love them super pliable

Too absorbent

I was not able to do an ombre because these sponges absorbed too much. Dollar store sponges are MUCH better. Would NOT buy these again or recommend them to anyone else. Big waste of money for fancy sponges that waste the beautiful polish! Unfortunately, I waited too long before trying them. It's too late to return!
