Need a quickie? Quick Dry Base gets the job done. This base allows me to get through painting my basic nails quicker because I am waiting for one less layer to dry. Works well for me because I can get straight to painting.

No more bubbles!

I was having issues using the other Holo Taco bases. I have pretty pronounced ridges on a few of my nails, so naturally I tried Smoothing Base for a while, but it seemed like eventually, no matter how much I did thin coats or added nail polish thinner if it started to get gloopy, I'd always, without fail, get bubbles in the ridges of my nails with every manicure, and it was driving me crazy. This base coat is much thinner than the other formulas, which is exactly what I needed. If you are at all familiar with Orly Bonder Base, this is a similar style base coat--thin with a slightly tacky finish. It does indeed dry very fast and I haven't had any issues with it wearing or chipping any faster than the other style base coats. But the best thing is that it doesn't form bubbles! Because of its thinness, it may cause more staining with highly pigmented polishes than the others (not sure but I wouldn't be surprised), but I personally don't mind some stains because I wear nail polish all the time, anyway.

I’m relatively new to taking care of my nails and I never really got the hype or the importance of base coats when using drug store brands. This product changed my mind. Combined with the glossy top coat, My nails look and feel so much nicer and durable after this product. It feels like I got them done at a salon. They hardly chip and my nails look great for almost a week.
