a LOT darker than anticipated
I got this from a mystery polish deal, not really intending to buy it, but when I looked at the pictures I figured it'd be a nice deep color to throw on instead of black! It's got the same great (if a bit thick) formula as the rest of the Holo Taco cremes, which I love, but the color in the pictures is super misleading. Under normal room light, it looks black, but even under a flashlight, the indigo really struggles to come through and it looks like when you mix a bit too much black paint into purple. It only got worse when I put on a matte top coat, so just be warned! (Photos are with and without flash with matte top coat)

A roller coaster of emotions
I shopped with the same impression as other reviews: thought it was lighter than it is. Blue/purple deep but still kinda bright color. When I got it, I was extremely disappointed. Swatched it in a swatch stick, hopes up in the first layer. Second one: this is just black! Oh no! Then I wanted to use it because i was just curious, and into black for that week. To my surprise, even though in half of the lightings it just seems black, it is so exciting to see that it’s clearly an indigo blue in others. Like a mystery and a surprise, similar to what unicorn skins give. It is beautiful and makes complete sense to not just wear black when you want a deep wintery polish. And the blue will show more in summer because there is more light. So works year round for different reasons, love that.

Beautiful Crème!
This was one of the first polishes I ever bought from Holo Taco, and I have to say, it is still one of my favorites. It's the perfect blend of dark and mysterious while still having enough color to not be considered black. It pairs beautifully with any topper you have at home or plan to purchase.

Nice but misleading
I wish I had read the comments and looked at the review pictures before buying it. When I put it on I thought I had made a mistake and had purchased a different polish from what I wanted. Don't get me wrong the colour is pretty and looks good but it's way darker than the pictures here. In the product pictures, you can even see some red tint, but in real life, it's almost black with some blue mixed in. Fortunately, it looks amazing as a base for the unicorn skin, and that's what I bought it for, so I'm not too sad. Also, I know it's called "Indigo Away" so I should have expected pigment indigo instead of the web colour indigo #4B0082. And I would have if the photos were not so misleading maybe... Regarding the formula, it does dry slower than others I've tried (I find the crush sour candy formula dries a lot faster than this cream, for example), but I always use a dry fast top coat from a different brand and that did the trick.
