I love this shade of golden yellow. Perfect for fall and honestly for my skin/hair tone, year round.
This is the prettiest yellow I have come across so far! The formula is good, although I do not agree with the description, since I definitely needed 3-4 coats to get a good look.
Had to do 3-4 coats to get full coverage
Let me start by saying, I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for the weird, stiff, uneven brush. You guys gotta get better brushes!! No yellow is perfect. There is probably no yellow on the planet that looks flawless in less than 3 coats. This one comes VERY close. It's thick, in a good way, with a more jelly-like than stark quality. I think this helps it apply more smoothly. It's going to be sheer and ****** in one coat, Especially if you do thin coats. My recommendation here is thick coats. I was able to get it to look good in 2 thick coats. If I had been super careful, it would have been perfect. I am looking forward to trying Banana Hacks, because you guys got the formula down on yellow! Seriously though, these brushes look like when a 3 year old cuts Barbie's hair. Really bad. I've had to trim at least 3 of 6 so far with my cuticle nippers just to make the polish usable.
I bought this in the collector's box and I really wanted to love it because it's such a unique colour but unfortunately the formula isn't quite there. It goes on thick and gloopy which I guess I could explain away if the shade itself was opaque but that wasn't the case and I needed close to 4 coats to get the opacity shown in the promotional photos. I'm keeping my nails much shorter than usual I usually I would and I'm still having smooth coverage issues, I'm honestly not sure if it would even be usable on my longer nails. I'm not sure if it's a one off because I've used the wine/brown shade from the collection and it applied much better.
